Today (March 18, 2019) I have started my research visit to Sheffield robotics and that will last for a couple of months. I am hosted in the Bet-lab by Prof. James Marshall and Dr. Andreagiovanni Reina.

Both articles “Local ant system for allocating robot swarms to time-constrained tasks” and “Collective Sampling of Environmental Features under Limited Sampling Budget” have been accepted in  Journal of Computational Science.

Our project DELICIOS: An integrated approach to study the delegation of conflict-of-interest decisions to autonomous agents” got funded through the Research Foundation – Flanders

The paper “The Impact of Interaction Models on the Coherence of Collective Decision-making: a Case Study with Simulated Locusts” has been accepted for publication in the Proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Swarm Intelligence, ANTS 2018. Additionally, the poster paper “Collective Lévy walk for Efficient Exploration in Unknown Environments” has been accepted for publication in the proceedings of the The 18th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence: Methodology, Systems, Applications AIMSA 2018.

I am Guest Editor of the special issue “Collective Decision Making in Evolutionary State Space” at the Journal of Complexity.

The paper “Scale Invariance in Natural and Artificial Collective Systems: a Review” has been accepted in  The Royal Society Interface.

The paper “The Impact of Agent Density on Scalability in Collective Systems: Noise-Induced vs Majority-Based Bistability” has been recently appeared on Swarm Intelligence.

The paper “Scheduling Access to Shared Space in Multi-Robot Systems” has been accepted for publication in the Proceedings of the 15th International Conference on Practical Applications of Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, PAAMS 2017. Additionally, the position paper “Can the Mechanisms of Self-organization Help our Cities in Following the Scaling Laws of Biology? Position Paper” has been accepted for publication in the proceedings of the 19th Int’l Conf on Artificial Intelligence ICAI 2017.

I have become a Review Editor at the Multi-Robot Systems—a specialty of Frontiers in Robotics and AI.

Ilja Rausch has started his PhD studies under my supervision on the topic of Collective Response in Large-Scale Artificial Systems
